Reservoirs in Jalna

Moti Talab: Located in the western part of the city, this very reservoir was constructed by Jamshed Khan. Prior to this, Khan is also known to have built the famous Kali Masjid. When the reservoir functioned properly, many years ago, it contained a certain procedure. Here, underground pipes were placed which brought the flow of water to these reservoirs. There were many other monuments created around this site making it all the more beautiful.

Ghanewadi Talab: This very talab was constructed in the early 1920’s by a highly regarded supporter of Jalna. Benzonji Faridoonji Jalnawalla made a great effort to construct this water reservoir in order to endure that the people of Jalna have sufficient drinking water. Ever since then the talab was a great source of water intake for the people who made use of this effort. But, with years passing by, this very talab like the other has not been able to do the same. There has been no water flow like it used to be, but the sites remain as they are and attract enough tourist attention in the city.

Shopping Places in Jalna
